Not open yet — still in the workshop

Hand-finished toys,
made in small batches.

PicklesToys is a one-bench workshop in the making. Modelled and printed, cut and sewn, cast and painted — whatever a piece needs — then finished by hand, a few at a time. Original characters with the loud, lopsided energy of early-90s cartoons, made for people who never quite grew out of them.

picklestoys.com is claimed. The toys come next.

The idea

Three things worth committing to

  • Finished by hand

Modelled and printed, or cut and sewn — then sanded, primed, and painted one at a time. Marks of the hand that finished it are the point, not a defect to apologize for.

  • Small batches

A handful of pieces per run, then on to the next idea. No warehouse, no endless restocks — when a batch is gone, it is gone.

  • Originals, not licenses

Every character is drawn from scratch. The look borrows an era's attitude; the cast is ours alone.

The look

Scrappy, wobbly, loud

The design language borrows from early-90s cartoon art direction — the era when kids' TV stopped looking tidy. Lumpy silhouettes. Lines that never quite close. Colors that clash on purpose. Halftone dots and paper grain instead of gradients.

These are made to be looked at as much as handled — objects with enough personality to earn a shelf, in a style that stopped being made about thirty years ago.

Keeping in touch

There is nothing to buy yet

No shop, no mailing list, no pre-orders. When the first batch is real, this page becomes the place it shows up.

If you want to say something before then — a question, an idea, a shop that might want to stock these — the workshop reads its mail.
